Minimum Pocket Depth for Coloumns
What is the minimum pocket depth required for rebated coloumns
The minimum washer size is 3 mm. This could be different. If nothing is mentioned use 3 mm.
The minimum bolt stick out should be 1 pitch. For M20 it is 2.5 mm. Use 10 mm stick out.
Also there is grout. Pockets when cast could be of different depths. Use design grout of 15 mm minimum.
The top of the bolt should be 35 mm below slab level to prevent concrete Cracking.
Hence to be practical use 100 mm pocket depth with a base plate thickness of 16 mm and bolt size of 20 mm.

STAGGERED FERRULES PLACEMENT ON PRECAST PANEL

The design drawings for one of our Precast Project we were working on suggests ferrules must be placed staggered as noted below. The Problem: However, these casting components, such as ferrules cannot be placed on both sides of a precast panel with a thickness of less than 250mm. This mainly causes ferrules to clash along…

There’s not much out there in the way of introductions. You’d have to wade through some manuals and it can be tedious. A simple walk through of how to get started. You would do well to record it at 1.5-x2 playback speed. Autocad .net c# Plug in – Hello World Example from Tek1 on…

Checking the type of an Entity? (AutoCAD .net)
Ok, so you’ve got a bunch of entities in a collection. You only want to deal with circles. You need to iterate through the collection and consider only the circles. But how will you identify the circles from the other objects. Casting. You can cast Entity en = en as Circle And then you…

Get SelectionFilter by block Name
It is very common that you will need to create selection filters for different types of blocks. Why repeat yourself? There is a very simple utility that I wrote that is amazingly handy for solving this very issue. Best part is that it accepts wildcards, so you can search for block references which, for…
