    Muswellbrook Tafe

The Stage 3 Works at Muswellbrook TAFE, located on Maitland Street, NSW, represent a significant milestone in the campus’s ongoing development and modernization.

The new development comprises a storage warehouse, a curved amenities area, and multiple classrooms housed within a large integrated structure. The project involved a complex structural steel framework designed to support diverse functional spaces under one roof.

A key challenge during this stage was coordination with the mechanical services contractor, as several ducts and ventilation systems initially clashed with the structural steel members. Through collaborative design reviews, practical solutions were agreed upon—relocating steel members at certain locations and adjusting duct routes at others—to achieve optimal constructability without compromising structural integrity or service performance.

Tek1 has successfully completed the industrial project for the reputed organisation in Australia.

This project does not have any structural design drawings. Instead, the client has provided sample design drawings. Therefore, we need to coordinate our structural design with the architect’s drawings.

  • WAREHOUSE STRUCTURAL STEEL SHOP DRAWINGS

This is a Video of Bunnings Warehouse

Bunnings Warehouse was a design and build project for us. We have been given original structural drawings to make it suitable for manufacture overseas in China. These instructions along with very short delivery times added significant challenges in shop drawings. One of the requirements by the clients was that that we have to issue plate blanks for the rafters as early as possible. As early as possible meant that we could not wait to put all the holes in the plate blanks before releasing them. We also had to keep the numbering system intact. These conditions introduced quite a few numbering challenges. Our technicians came up with a solution which not only enabled us to release blank drawings for rafters in the second week, but also kept the total number of drawings not significantly higher than had it been detailed the normal way. When you engage us for your detailing work, you can rest assured that the best detailers are on the job. All work is compliant with Australian steel detailing requirements. When it comes to high quality warehouse structural steel shop drawings, you can count on Tek1 to deliver.
