  • Junior Modeller At Koyambedu

    We have a few positions available to young Engineering graduates at the Koyembedu office in Chennai

    To be successful – You have to be a recent graduate in Civil, Mechanical or structural engineering.

    Must have a good command of English and Tamil.

    1-2 years of Tekla skills is appreciated. Else you have to demonstrate the ability to learn quickly via our online tutorials.

    There will be an appropriate task to complete whether you have no experience or have some experience.

    The position involved shift work (We work 2 shifts).

  • Graduate Steel Detailer Trainees at Koyambedu Office – Self Register for online test on Moodle

    We have a few positions now available at our Koyambedu Office. We set up an online test to select competent candidates as the first step. This process is available for anyone who believes in some sort of prelimnary screening of applicants before calling them in for interview. Once the candidate walks in the door, then you are spending big money on them because the wheels of your machinery starts spinning and it does not spin for free.

    Now for aspiring candidates here is a process to apply for the positions we have.

    1. Please go to our Testing URL: http://tek1engineeringservices.com/onlinetests/login/index.php
    2. Click the button: ‘Create New Account’
    3. Enter a user name & password of your choice. If user name already exists, please try another.
    4. Enter your valid email address & your official First Name & Surname.
    5. Create your account. Go to your email inbox, open the email from System Administrator at Tek1, open the web address link in the email. This will confirm your account & login. If you haven’t received it immediately, check your junk mail box.
    6. Now go to the URL: http://tek1engineeringservices.com/onlinetests/enrol/index.php?id=18
    7. Under ‘Aptitude Test – Testing from Home – May 2019’, read the description. At bottom of page, enter Enrolment key: Testing1@2019
    8. Enrol. You will see a page sub-titled ‘Quiz 1′. Important: Read the instructions.
    9. When ready, take the quiz by clicking button: ‘Attempt quiz now’.
    10. Complete the quiz & submit.

  • Positions Available for Graduate Trainees – Steel Detailer

    We have 8 positions available for Graduate trainees to be trained into steel detailers.

    Positions are available in our Chennai Office at Arumbakkam

    Selection process.

    1. Online general aptitude test from your home.
    2. If you are successful in step 1 successful test from our office at Arumbakam. Will have multiple-choice questions, written answers, and technical interview.
    3. If you are selected, 2 months training during day shift 7 to 4 on 2d cad, how to read and interpret drawings and general engineering.
    4. After initial 2 months 6 months training from 12 AM to 6 AM detailing training. Includes Saturdays.
    5. If successful, you will be inducted as a junior member of the detailing team. on shifts 6 AM to 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM 11:30 PM.

    You will be required to pay a 2-month deposit towards a security deposit which will be refunded to you if you resign with proper notice. (2 months notice required).

    If you are not able to pay a security deposit you will have to agree to build up a security deposit by deducting a portion of the wages towards security deposit.

  • Careers and Training at Tek1

    Jobs for Fresh Graduates at Tek1

    Tek1 is offering tutoring services at a cost to learn Tekla and basic steel detailing at a small fee. You can download Tekla software from Tekla Campus, learn at your own pace to a set curiculam.

    When you are ready to take up a job with us come in for an assessment. If you pass the grade, we will offer you an employment on a probation basis for 6 months. If you successfully complete the probation, then we will offer you a full employment at wage which is the best in the Industry.

    If you do not wish to take up an employment with us but wish to get a certification then we will issue you with a certificate of completion.

    Please note that we do not hand out certificates. To pass our test you have to put in some serious effort.

    How to arrange for an Interview

    Please follow the flow chart.

    Important

    Following the instructions on how to apply for the position is an important part of our screening process. Steel detailing inherently requires detailers to have attention for detail. If you cannot follow the instruction on how to apply for the position, you will likely struggle as a detailer. So our screening process starts right at the point of submitting the application.

    You will be required to take an online test from your home at your convenience as the first part of our selection process.

    Once you pass the first test, you will have to come in for another test in our office. This second test can be organized in Kochi as well.  If you get good score and then pass the immediate personal interview, you will be made an offer on the spot.

    The fact that you were made an offer , indicates that you are likely to succeed in the job. However there are further milestones you will have to cover before you will be offered a permanent position. (Mainly to do with how well you complete the training and probation period).
