Bradfield shed with stair and handrails

Tek1 has successfully completed a commercial project for a reputed organization in Australia.

The scope of work involved providing floor , roof beams and stairs with handrails.

The primary challenge we encountered in this project was related to the stairs and handrails. Unfortunately, we did not receive connection details from the structural engineers. As a result, we took the initiative to propose and finalize all the connection details at Tek1.

This approach was well-received by the client and the structural engineers. The client is pleased with our work, and the structural engineers approved all of our connection proposals.

Furthermore, this project also included the measurement of the rock face at the site. We coordinated effectively with the site engineer to mitigate any challenges during the erection process.

  • Look Out for Bad Connection Details

Look Out for Bad Connection Details

    Bad Connections

There are many young engineers out of college in the structural engineering business. They probably are not very much aware about the costs involved with fabrication.

As detailers, it is our responsibility to look out for bad connections and ask an rfi for alternate connections.

Please look at this particular one. It is unnecessarily complicated. And there are so many of them. It is all hidden and is not intended to be an architectural masterpiece.

We as detailers become a lot more valuable if we can save money for the detailer.

    William street Privacy screens

Tek1 has successfully completed the commercial project for the reputed organisation in Australia.

The scope of work involves providing privacy screens and their supports. We have encountered challenges with the aluminum screen bends during the project.

Initially, we received instructions that each screen should have a bend in all four directions, which we modeled and sent for approval.

However, the client later requested that we split the top and bottom of the screen and provide separate pieces to be welded to the main screen.
